WIP: A Light in the Dark

A night so dark when souls depart
Alone and lost, it torn my heart
I lit my torch to shine the way
But alas, they wept when they saw my face.

I led the way, and tears were shed
Their eyes upon the world they left
It pained my soul to see their tears
But still, all must follow and face their fears.
